Our mission is to provide a range of luxurious, sustainable, and eco-friendly candles that connect consumers to the rich biodiversity of Borneo’s rainforests while championing conservation and ethical sourcing.

Our Story

Founded in 2024, Colugo Candles was born out of the desire to make a meaningful impact on both local communities and global ecosystems. Headquartered in Borneo, Malaysia, we saw first-hand the destructive impact of unsustainable practices on our beautiful rainforests and wildlife. Inspired to create a change, we embarked on a journey to develop a product that not only adds value to your home but also contributes positively to the environment and society.

  1. Eco-Conscious Packaging

Our MECE and MAXI Collection glass containers are made from re-used bottles, a small yet significant step in tackling the landfill waste issue in Borneo where there are no glass recycling plants. Outer packaging is made from recycled card.

Our candles are lovingly handcrafted in Borneo, aiding local employment and reducing carbon footprints by sourcing and manufacturing locally.

We use only ethically-sourced Soy wax, guaranteeing a cleaner and longer-lasting burn.

All our essential oils are sourced from indigenous growers in Borneo and beyond, offering you an authentic aromatic experience.

  1. Orangutan-Approved Wicks

Our unique wicks are made from recycled sack-cloth used as feeding enrichment toys for rescued orangutans. Each wick has been touched by a rescued orangutan, intertwining your home's ambiance with the essence of the wild.

A percentage of revenue from every candle sold goes directly to Project Borneo, a reputable conservation and animal welfare charity working tirelessly to preserve Borneo's irreplaceable ecosystem and some of the most endangered animals on the planet.
